Dreame X60 Max Ultra: CES 2026 Slim Flagship

Dreame kicked off 2026 with the X60 Max Ultra Complete, its flagship robot vacuum unveiled at CES 2026 in January. The headline trick is its profile: at just 7.95 cm (3.13 inches) tall, it is one of the thinnest flagship robot vacuums ever made, designed to glide under beds, sofas, and cabinets that stop taller robots cold.

Thin robots are nothing new, but thin robots usually sacrifice navigation or cleaning power. Dreame’s pitch is that the X60 Max Ultra Complete gives up neither, packing dual cameras, 35,000 Pa suction, and a 100°C self-cleaning system into the slim chassis.

VersaLift: A Sensor That Gets Out of the Way

The key enabler is VersaLift Navigation. The DToF sensor automatically retracts in low-clearance areas, letting the robot slip under furniture, while LED-illuminated cameras take over for navigation in the dark spaces underneath. It is a clever mechanical solution to the eternal conflict between tall LiDAR turrets and low furniture.

The AI-Enhanced OmniSight System uses dual 120° cameras that Dreame says deliver 200 percent faster navigation with 0.1-second obstacle response. Proactive Illumination Dirt Detection uses infrared-enhanced sensors to identify pet hair, light-colored liquids, and fine particles in real time, automatically adjusting cleaning modes.

Flagship Cleaning in a Slim Package

  • 35,000 Pa Vormax suction paired with the HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush 2.0.
  • ProLeap System that crosses obstacles up to 8.8 cm (3.47 inches) high.
  • Pet Care 4.0 with an industry-first dual-solution compartment that stores separate floor-cleaning and pet odor-elimination solutions.
  • 100°C ThermoHub mop self-cleaning with dual omni-scrub mopping at 230 RPM.

The dual-solution compartment is a standout for pet owners: one tank for floor cleaner, another for pet odor eliminator, dispensed as needed rather than mixed into a single compromise.

Pricing and Availability

The X60 Max Ultra Complete launched at $1,699.99, with two preorder windows on the Dreame Store starting January 6 offering $340 in savings: the first pre-sale (January 6-25) bundled a 1-year package with 2 cleaning kits, 3 solution bottles, and an extended warranty, while the second (January 26-February 9) offered a 6-month bundle. Both pre-sale prices were $1,359.99, transitioning to a $300 discount at the official February 10 launch. The X60 Ultra was slated to follow.

The line later expanded internationally, including the X60 Ultra Complete launch in India in September 2026 at Rs. 1,34,999, showing Dreame’s push to make the X60 family a global flagship platform rather than a single product.

Background: Why Thin Matters

Under-furniture cleaning is one of the least glamorous and most valuable jobs a robot vacuum does. Dust, pet hair, and allergens accumulate under beds and sofas precisely because those areas are hard to reach manually. A robot that cannot get there leaves the dirtiest square footage untouched.

Dreame’s bet is that solving the height problem without compromising the sensor stack unlocks genuinely better whole-home coverage. Rivals have approached it differently, iRobot’s Roomba Duo concept uses a separate ultra-slim companion robot, but the integrated VersaLift approach keeps everything in one device.

Outlook

Nine months after its CES debut, the X60 Max Ultra Complete has been joined by even more extreme siblings, including the 42,000 Pa X60 Pro Ultra. But the slim flagship’s core insight remains valid: the best robot vacuum is the one that reaches everywhere. For homes with low-clearance furniture, it is still one of the most compelling options of 2026.
